Holston STAUNTON Robert William Holston, 72, of 1020 Ridgeni'ont Drive, died at 2:25 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) at He was born May 5, 1926, at Heatherman, W.Va., a sarf of William and Ida Mae (Yourig) Holston. T3 He graduated from the University of Charleston, in West Virginia in 1949. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Occupation of Germany.

Prior-to retiring in 1991, he was a sales representative Order Distributing Company for 18 years. He vyas a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of, 4,8 years, Pauline Meadows Holston; a daughter and son-in-law, Jayne H. and Aaron Dawson; a grandchild, Ashley Dawson; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert William Jr.

and Brandi Holston of Orlando, Fla. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Doii-ald W. Wilson with burial to follow at Thornrose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Freeman Jones, Ray Lancaster, Jerry Hinchee, Wade Cash, Eddie Lynn and Rae Rockwell. The family will receive friend's from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. John's United Methodist Church, 1716 N. Augusta Staunton, Va.

She was born Jan. 21. 1898. at Hillsboro. W.Va., a daughter of George Phillip and Virginia Margaret (Adkison) Gladwell.

She was employed by Woodward and Lothrop prior to retiring in 1965. She was a member of Hughes United Methodist Church of Silver Spring, Md. Her husband, to whom she was married on July 4, 1926, preceded her in death on Feb. 1989. Surviving are a son, Douglas F.

Campbell of Tacoma Park, two daughters, Dorothy Raab of Frederick, and Madeline C. Wresche of Damascus, 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Thomas Coffman, with burial atThornrose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald and Larry Wresche, Robert D. and Kevin Raab, Richard and Jesse Campbell, Michael Sherwood, and Scott and Stewart Wyne. The family will receive friends from tonight at the funeral home. Maynard A. Garber VERONA Maynard Aubrey Garber, 78, of 102 Skyview Circle, Apt.

No. 10, died at 8:30 a m. Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) at his residence. He was born Feb.

23, 1920, at Augusta County, a son of the Rev. John C. and Estella (Houff) Garber. He was a 1939 graduate of Beverley Manor High School and attended Bridgewater College. He was a furniture sales representative for Augusta Furniture Company before retiring.

He was a member of Staunton Church of the Brethren. Prior to his declining health, he was very active with the senior adult group of the church and the Staunton Choral Society. He also served as volunteer at the King's Daughters' Hospital. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Violet (Ashby) Garber, who he married on Oct. 8, 1949; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie G.

and Ernie R. Landes of Verona; a brother, the Rev. Merlin E. Garber of Salem; a sister, Elva Huffman of Harrisonburg; and two grandchildren, Jason T. of Richmond and Heather E.

Landes of Verona. He was preceded in death by a brother, Casper Garber. Stephens of Azusa; a brother, Mark Stephens of Valley Village, and a number of cousins. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev.

Vicki Brobeck, with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Gailey, Ross DiAngelo, Carlton Stephens, Larry and Jerry Kestner, and Howard Thome. Honorary pallbearers will be Delores Kearns, and Sheila and Joseph P. Messick. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.

Holden STAUNTON Wilburn Hale Holden, 74, formerly of Washington died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 13, 1998) at a local nursing home. He was born Sept. 13, 1924, at Elevtra, Texas, a foster son of Mr.

and Mrs. G. D. Pender. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was employed by Western State Hospital until retirement, and was a school crossing guard with the City of Staunton, He was a Baptist. Surviving are his fiance, Lillian C. Richmond; a son, Wilburn Ray Holden Sr. of Mississippi; four grandchildren, Tammy Black, and Ray Holden both of Mississippi, David Sweet of South Carolina, and Alita Clem of Georgia; nine great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Kim-berley Bevan of Churchville. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Alene Holden; and a granddaughter, Kelly v- A.

service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Henry Funeral Home by the Revs, Warren Knott and Jimmy Bosserman, with burial at Green Hill Cemetery, Churchville. Pallbearers will Timmy Lamoy, George Houseman, Lester and Dennis Bosserman, Walter and Jerry Richmond and Clyde Sweet. Elton Mae (Gladwell) Campbell, 100, widow of Jesse Furman Campbell, formerly of 7212 Drought Spring Drive, Frederick, died at 9 a.m. Monday (Sept. 14, 1998) at Piney Mountain Continuing Care Retirement Communi- Lacey A. Moseman WAYNESBORO Lacey Anne Moseman, infant daughter of Kimberly K. Moseman of 1621 New Hope Road, died Saturday afternoon (Sept.

12, 1998) at Augusta Medical Center, Fish-ersville. She was born June 5, 1998, at Augusta Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Annie Moseman. In addition to her mother. Surviving are a sister, Loran E.

Huffman at home; maternal grandfather, Dennis Moseman of Grandy, N.C.; and maternal stepgrand-mother, Barbara Huckaby of Sherando. A service will be conducted at i ll a.m. Wednesday at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Keith Hulton of Waynesboro Free Methodist Church, with burial at Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville. Mundy WAYNESBORO Marcus William Mundy, 19, of Route died Sunday afternoon (Sept. 13, 1998) as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born Dec. 22, 1978. at Waynesboro, a son of Mrs.

Judy Davis of Waynesboro and William M. Mundy also of Waynesboro. He attended Valley Vocational Technical School and was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School, where he participated on both the football and track teams. He was employed by United Servo Hydraulics Inc. of Waynesboro, and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father, Gary Davis of Waynesboro; a brother, William Mundy III of Waynesboro; maternal great-grandfather and stepgreat-grandmother, Roger R. and Iva Mae Cason of Middlebrook; paternal great-grandmother, Virginia Snyder of Waynesboro; maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Cecil M. and Betty Lucas of Stuarts Draft; paternal grandfather, William M. Mundy Sr. of Waynesboro; a niece; and his girlfriend, Nikki Sipe.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Randy Blankenship, with burial at Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Nathan Showalter, Mike Little, Brad Sayre, Stacy Pugh, Robbie Hurchinson, and Jesse Roach. The family will receive friends from p.m.

Stephens AZUSA, Calif. Carolyn Ann Stephens, 42, of Azusa, died Saturday (Sept. 12, 1998) at Intercommunity Hospital, Covina, Calif. She was born Oct. 16, 1956, at Norfolk, a daughter of Phyllis A Stephens of Waynesboro and William G.

Stephens of Bel Air, Md. She was a member of Four Square Gospel Church! In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Marilyn Eva W. Williams SVVOOPE Eva Loretta White Williams, 62, of Route 1, Box 121A, died Sunday (Sept 13, 1 998) at her residence. She was born Jan. 10, 1936, a daughter of Robert T.

Sr. and Katie Jones White. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and received her associate's degree in, nursing from Community College of Baltimore and her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Maryland. She practiced nursing at the Lutheran Hospital, Baltimore, and at Medical College of Virginia, where she received the Doris P.

Yingling research award. She also received the Nurse of the Year award from DeJarnette Center and retired from the DeJarnette Center. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Senior Usher Board and Senior Missionary. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elizabeth Braddy and Bernice Stuart.

Surviving are her husband, Langston T. Williams Sr. of Swoope; two stepsons, Joseph E. and wife Maria of Newport News and Langston Williams Jr. of Swoope; two stepdaughters, Linda W.

Perry WAYNESBORO Nora Roberts Perry, 87, of 112 Rock-fish Road, Waynesboro, died Monday morning (Sept. 14, 1998) at her residence. She was born June 17, 1911, at Churchville, a daughter of William F. and Bertie Snyder Smith. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and retired from Genesco with 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John William Roberts; a brother, Marshall Smith; and a sister, Ruby Harris. Surviving are her husband, James H. Perry; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Margaret and Richard Halterman of Staunton, Betty and Forrest Are-hart and Dorothy and Glenn Sensabaugh, all of Waynesboro; a sister, Anna Smith Thompson of Staunton; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Augusta Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.
