Staunton, News-Leader, Sunday, June 8, 1980 Farrow-Cobble vows spoken Second Presbyterian Church was the setting for the wedding of Miss Lisa Marie Cobble and Kenneth Douglass Farrow on Saturday evening at 7 o'clock. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Cobble of 406 Whitehall Ave.

Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. W. Kenneth Farrow of Rt. 2, Staunton.

The Rev. T. Dennis Walker performed the double-ring ceremony, with a program of nuptial music presented by Ms. Dotties Springel, organist, and Mark Robertson, vocalist. The bride wore a formallength gown of white Schiffli lace.

It was fashioned with a basque bodice, lavishly appliqued with seed pearls, and long fitted sleeves with pleated organza cuffs. The bell-shaped skirt, enhanced by an apron of Schiffli lace, was trimmed with Venise lace and fell softly into a train encircled by pleated organza. Her fingertip-length veil of imported silk illusion was secured to a Camelot cap of Venise lace and seed pearls. She carried a long cascade of green Marguerite daisies, miniature carnations, stephanotis, yellow sweetheart roses and baby's breath. Mrs.

Vickie L. Bosserman was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Tina Grim of Hampton; Lori A. Liptrap of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., cousin of the bride, and Carter Manning. Marsha Hawks of Raphine, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl, with Brian Bosserman, nephew of the bride, as ringbearer.

Mr. Farrow served as best man for his son. Ushers were Doug Miller of Fishersville, Cory Dale and Allen Squire. The parents of the bride entertained at a reception in the church fellowship hall. Mrs.

Lee Armstrong of Wytheville and Mrs. Erma Clemmer of Middlebrook served the cake. Mrs. Sherry Hepler and Mrs. Nancy Hall presided at the punch bowl.

Mrs. Essie Hawks of Raphine was in charge of the gift table, with Miss Tereasa Simmons at the guest book. Mrs. Kay MacPherson was director. After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, the couple will reside in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Farrow was graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Blue Ridge Community College. Mr. Farrow was graduated from Riverheads High School and attended Blue Ridge Community Colemployed by Objective Industries, Fishersville.

Preliminary findings suggest that people who frequently suffer extreme depression over unrequited love have an irregular production of the mi a 1 phenylethylamine. The researchers have found that such individuals often binge on chocolate during their depressed periods and that chocolate is particularly high in phenylethyamine. It is binging may be an unconscious effort at self-medication. MRS.

Garber performed the double-ring ceremony. Raymond Via, orgnist, provided a program of wedding music. The bride wore a formallength gown of white Qiana. The bodice was designed with a wedding band collar of silk Venetian lace and a sheer yoke enhanced by lace. The bishop sleeves were accented by Venetian lace appliques.

The empire silhouette skirt, edged with lace, swept softly into a chapel-length train. Her chapel-length veil of imported illusion, bordered with Venetian lace, fell from a Juliet cap covered with lace sprinkled with pearls. She carried a sweeping cascade of white miniature carnations and baby's breath. Miss Tammy L. Wright of Churchville was maid of honor.

Bridesmaid was Miss Kimberly F. Wallace of Staunton. Angela D. Hinkle and Crystal J. Coffman, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls, with Jason Henninger of Churchville as ringbearer.

Mr. Coffman served as best man for his son. Ushers were John L. Coffman III, brother of the bridegroom, and Howard E. Putnam of Staunton, brother of the bride.

The bride's parents entertained at a reception in the church social hall. Miss Kimberly D. Vandevander and Miss Patti P. Conner served the cake. Miss Sandra K.

continues its search for 1980 royalty. Contestants in the area are being urged to participate in the 1980 America's Little Miss and Mr. Virginia State Pageant scheduled to be held at the Holiday Inn here July 25-27. Contestants of all ages will be competing for America's Little Miss and Mr. titles.

This will be a three-day event filled with parties, fun and healthy American competition. All contestants will compete in formal wear, sports wear and interviews. There also is an optional talent and photogenic com- petition. Winners at the state competition will receive crown, banner, title, trophy, a $200 bond scholarship and their entry paid to the national pageant in Nashville, where large scholarships are awarded. Judging is based on beauty, personality, grooming and manners.
