Kenneth Farrow of Rt. 2, Staunton. The Rev. T. Dennis Walker performed the double-ring ceremony, with a program of nuptial music presented by Ms.

Dottie Spr-ingel, organist, and Mark Robertson, vocalist. The bride wore a formal-length gown of white Schiffli lace. It was fashioned with a basque bodice, lavishly ap-pliqued with seed pearls, and long fitted sleeves with pleated organza cuffs. The bell-shaped skirt, enhanced by an apron of Schiffli lace, was trimmed with Venise lace and fell softly into a train encircled by pleated organza. Her fingertip-length veil of imported silk illusion was secured to a Camelot cap of Venise lace and seed pearls.

Bower were married on Saturday evening at 7 o'clock in Covenant Presbyterian Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

William E. Bower of Fishersville. The Rev. Donn Langfitt performed the double-ring ceremony, with a program of wedding music presented by Mrs. YuLee Lamer, organist.

The bride wore a formal-length gown of white chif-fonette over taffeta. The empire-waisted bodice featured a wedding band neckline with a lace yoke and large bertha collar. The full circular skirt was fashioned with a wide lace hemline of ruffles and swept into a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-length veil of imported illusion, edged with Venetian lace, was attached to a Camelot cap of matching lace and seed pearls. She carried a nosegay of red sweetheart roses and white miniature carnations.

Miss Leigh McDaniel waa maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss LaVanna Bower of Fishersville, sister of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Rebecca Bosserman; Boyd Brown served as best man. Virginia State Pageant scheduled to be held at the Holiday Inn here July 25-27. Contestants of all ages will be competing for America's Little Miss and Mr. titles. This will be a three-day event filled with parties, fun and healthy American competition. All contestants will compete in formal wear, sports wear and interviews.

Chocolate to mend a broken heart A chemical present in chocolate as well as in the human brain is directly related to the emotional ups and downs of being in love, according to New York State researchers. Preliminary findings suggest that people who frequently suffer extreme depression over unrequited love have an irregular production of the chemical, phenylethylamine. The researchers have found that such individuals often binge on chocolate during their depressed periods and that chocolate is par-ticularly high in phenylethyamine.
