20, 2015, at Augusta Medical Center. She was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Wheeling, West Virginia, daughter ofthe late Henry S. Bell and Kathleen F. Bell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in her death by her sister, Jean S. Brindley ofKill Devil Hills, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband of60 years, W. Rader Dod, whom she married in college in 1955. They resided in many major cities along the east coast before living in Staunton, where Mr.

Dod was the owner ofDod Oil Co. for 22 years and owner and VP ofOuter Banks Video I nc. Other surviving family members i nclude two daughters, Jenni B. Dod and Bryan Mines ofLexington and her husband, Barry T. Mines; along with one son, W.

Rader Dod II ofStaunton and his wife, Lissa Furr Dod; six grandchildren, Brook Reeves ofHuddleston, Virginia, Courtney Miller, Max Baer Miller III and Harrison Mines ofLexington, Anne-Charles Dod and William Rader Dod III ofStaunton; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. While residing in Staunton, Mrs. od was a member ofFirst resbyterian Church and in exington, a member ofthe exington Presbyterian Church, here she served on the board of omen ofthe church. Mrs. Dod also orked actively toward establishing the Zeta Tau Chapter ofKappa Kappa Gamma, her sorority, on the campus ofWashington Lee University, a long with establishing the original sororities on campus.

She was a patron ofLime Kiln Arts and sponsored various fundraising events for the theater. Acelebration oflife will be held at alater date. The family asks that in lieu offlowers, a donation be made in name to Hospitals for Children. Ralph Eriksen GETTYSBURG, Ralph Eriksen, 83, ofGettysburg, Pennsylvania went to be with his Lord on Aug.

Ralph served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked many faithful years, 32 for Smith Transfer and 18 for Viking Even in his work, Ralph cared deeply about people and treated his clients and co-workers more like friends than colleagues. love for friends, family, and the Lord shined through in many ways his passion for gardening and creating beautiful landscapes, through his dedication to his car club and the community he built over the shared interest in antiques, and through his commitment to give back through numerous charitable causes including handing out toys for Toys for Tots and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. More than anything else, Ralph valued his relationships with friends and family.

He was a kind, compassionate, generous, funny, charming and loving husband, ather, grandfather, uncle, reat-grandfather, and friend. Ralph is survived by his wife Barbara; his two daughters and their spouses, Debi and Chris Boyd ofLittlestown, Pennsylvania and Tammy and Scott Morelen ofYorktown, Virginia; and his four granddaughters and their families, Brya and BJ Mortimer and family of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Morelen ofVirginia Beach, Diana Morelen Brand and Nathan Brand of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Janelle and Jason Driver ofHanover, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be held 11a.m. onday, Aug. 24, 2015, at the Gettysburg resbyterian Church, 208 Baltimore ettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Buchanan Gladys Marie (Whitesell) Buchanan, 79, widow ofRobert Buchanan ofHull Street went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Aug.

20, 2015, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mrs. Buchanan was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Stuarts Draft, a daughter ofthe late Allen and Helen Marie Whitesell. Gladys attended First Church ofthe Nazarene and retired from A.S.R.

in September of1994. She enjoyed Christmas decorating, seek and find puzzles, yard work and her flower gardens. Surviving is a son, Donald W. Lawhorne; and a sister, Peggy Jean Whitesell, both ofStaunton. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. Acelebration oflife will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Bailey.

Jerry W. Floyd BUENA Jerry Wade Floyd, 74, ofBuena Vista died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at Augusta Medical Center. Born Nov. 7, 1940, in Rockbridge County, a son ofthe late Fletcher Wade Floyd and Gracie Mae Clark Floyd.

Mr. Floyd was a member ofVictory Baptist Church and worked as a machinist for 20 years at Rexnord Corp. Jerry was also a member ofWoodman ofthe World and AARP. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Ramsey Floyd; sons, Randall W. Floyd and wife, Janet, Glenn A.
