Campbell RAPHINE Violet Marie (Hite) Campbell, 86, widow of William Martin Campbell, of 88 S. Bottom Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville. She was born Dec. 1, 1927, in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Hunter Howard and Lossie (Smith) Hite.

Garletts STAUNTON Lillian Brandenburg Garletts, better known as "Brandy," met her Savior Sept. 2, 2014. She was born Oct.

She also served on the board of the Waynesboro Concert Association. On May 9, 2009, Mary was named Mother of the Year. Mary was the uniting force for her family, but also thought of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Edgar and James Rhodes; and sister, Mrs.

Page (Maude) Anderson. Surviving are her devoted husband of 72 years, Mosby Clark Toms; her loving daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Toms; numerous nieces and nephews, including Joan Anderson Fitzhugh, Kathryne Anderson Marple, Ellen Anderson and Scott Rhodes. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev.

James Young. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Mosby and Sarah thank all those who helped their wife and mother at Augusta Health, Waynesboro Fire Department and Waynesboro First Aid Crew.

STAUNTON Charles "Eddie" Overhulser 62, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014. He was born in Waynesboro, son of the late Charles Overhulser and Frances Cale Daniel. Eddie was a musician whose love was blue grass and a NASCAR fan. He is survived by his stepmother, Jane Elizabeth Overhulser of Palm Harbor, Florida; his friend and caregiver, Jana Hebb and family of Waynesboro; and two stepsisters, Donna Jane Burnopp of Fredericksburg and Vickie Beach of Stafford and their families.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she was preceded in death by a son, William Martin Campbell Jr. Family members include a son, Terry Scott Campbell of Greenville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy C. and Clayton Painter, Donna C. and Daniel Duff all of Raphine, and Vicky C. and Larry Anderson of Staunton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen Childress and Hazel and James Deaton; six grandchildren, Matthew H.

Duff, Jessica M. Duff, Christopher A. Painter, Justin Anderson, Erin A. Shiflett and Parker Scott Campbell; and five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Marisa, Teagan, Jabari and Addison. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Matthew Coiner. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Robbie Shiflett. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at her daughter Vicky Anderson's residence, 51 Montgomery Road, Staunton. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.henry funeralhome.net. Robert C. Hall STAUNTON Robert "Bob" C. Hall, 79, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born July 6, 1935, the son of the late Mildred and William Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hall. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Brown Hancock Hall; son, Curtis Hancock and his wife, Monica; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Fauber; brother, Mike Hall and his wife, Dinah; four grandchildren, James Hancock, Lane Hancock, Hannah Fauber and Alec Fauber; brothers-in-law, Gary Brown, Les Brown, Buck Brown, Tom Brown, Leonard Brown, Charlie Brown and Girty Brown; sisters-in-law, Diane Hall, Liz Little, Joyce Clatterbaugh, Mildred Bower and Vera Brown; an aunt, Nancy Cambell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is remembered by his special friend, Martha Hancock, and childhood friend, E.K. Williams.

Bob was a true patriotic man. He loved his country and retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He was employed by Western State Hospital and retired after 20 years of work. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept.

7, 2014, at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, 160 Mount Pisgah Road, Mount Sidney, where Bob was an active member, with Pastor John Crawford and Lay-Minister Marty Marston officiating. There will be no viewing or formal visitation at the funeral home, but the family welcomes friends to stop by their home to leave condolences. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name may be made to the building fund at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, 160 Mount Pisgah Road, Mount Sidney, VA 24467. Sept. 13 at Staunton Church of the Brethren, 1615 N. Coalter St. Volunteers needed: Valley Program for Aging Services Meals on Wheels program is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The meeting will be on the first floor. Waynesboro Church announces yard sale: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1148 Ladd Road, will host a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Barbecue chicken halves will be available for purchase at 11 a.m. for $5 each.

PufFenbarger HARRISONBURG Doris Lee Puffenbarger, 69, passed away at her home Sept. 2, 2014. She was a daughter of Maggie Lee Arbogast Bennett and was born in Pendleton County April 2, 1945. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ray Puffenbarger in 2010; her son, Donald L. Puffenbarger; and her sister, Rosa L.

Bennett. Doris was a room attendant with Howard Johnson Hotel in Harrisonburg for many years and later a homemaker to her husband and children. She was known for her crocheting and her baked goods, which she shared with many to enjoy. Surviving are her two sons, Sheldon R. Puffenbarger and companion, Benita Shumate, of Johnson City, Tennessee, and Steven A.

Puffenbarger of Harrisonburg; and three grandchildren, Brian Davis, Wesley Davis and Tai Lewis. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel, Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.

Angeline M. Bundy RAPHINE Mary Angeline "Polly" (Mish) Bundy, 91, of 2164 Newport Road, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at The Meadows at Stuarts Draft Christian Homes. Bear Funeral Home will announce arrangements. Joanne P.

Ingalls STAUNTON Joanne Rose (Paskins) Ingalls, 86, widow of Daniel H.H. Ingalls, of 316 E. Beverley Staunton, died Sept. 1, 2014, at her home after a brief illness. She was born May 5, 1928, in Chicago, the only child of the late John C.

and Rose (Vance) Paskins. She spent her early years in Riverside, Illinois, and graduated from Lake Forest College in 1949. She worked for a time for WGN in Chicago before marrying John D. Kreuter in 1951. They remained in Chicago, where her first daughter, Barbara, was born in 1953, before moving to New Hope, Pennsylvania, where a second daughter, Katherine, was born in 1956.

When her children grew up, she worked at her husband's business until they retired and moved to Bath County in 1987. Upon the death of her first husband in 1992, she married Daniel H.H. Ingalls, also of Hot Springs, whose own death followed in 1999. She moved from Bath County to Staunton in 2007, where she pursued her lifelong interests in gardening, knitting, reading, entertaining, travel and bridge. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal.

She is survived by her two daughters. Private memorial services will be arranged through Henry Funeral Home, and there will be a celebration of her life at her home from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014. Those who wish to attend should RSVP kvkreutergmail.com.

Hartley STAUNTON Ruby Wiseman Bartley of Staunton, 85, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Hospice House of the Piedmont, Charlottesville.
