DEATHS DURiNG THE WEEK. MRS. CAROLINE V. HARMAN. Mrs. Caroline V. Harman, widow of the late Col. M- G. Harman, died at flic.residence of her son, Lewis H>ir man, in this city, on the 27tu insfc., after after a protracted illness, aged about 79 years Mrs flanaaa before her mar riage whs a Miss Stevenson, a daughter of the late Capt. L. L Stevenson. Her mother was a Miss Dunlap of this county. She is survived by three sons —Capt. Lewis Harman, of this city, Hon. Asber W. Harman, Treasurer of Virginia, and Alexander Harman, Esq., of Richmond. During the late war her home was the resort of Confederate soldiers and the elegance of their entertainment entertainment was seldom met with at, that period. The death of Col. M. G. Harnan Harnan closed their hospitable mansion and Mrs Harman spent the remainder, of her life upon her estate near Stauu- ; ton or with her children. She was a; woman of beautiful person and char wife and mother, tuess and gentleness of her j c a cherished memory to her j d friends. The funeral took i Trinity Episcopal church, W.
